A Lifetime of Service to Pinellas County
“I was born and raised in Pinellas County and am a proud graduate of Pinellas Schools. My Dad taught at Clearwater High for 25 years and my three children attended Pinellas Schools. I previously served on our School Board. I am committed to the success of our community, the Pinellas County School District and to each of our students.”â Nancy Bostock
Nancy Bostock has spent her life serving Pinellas County. A lifelong resident, she raised her family here, built a business here, and has dedicated decades to making this community a better place to live, work, and learn. Her commitment to education isn't a campaign talking point. It's a record. She is a former teacher, ReadingPal, PTA member, and school volunteer. Elected three times to the Pinellas County School Board, Nancy helped guide one of Florida's largest school districts, setting policy and budgets that touched tens of thousands of students, teachers, and families.
When the county needed steady leadership, Nancy answered the call again, serving as a Pinellas County Commissioner. There, she managed challenging budgets during the Great Recession, weighed competing priorities, and cut spending 26% to avoid tax increases.
As both a School Board Member and a County Commissioner, Nancy worked with the county's emergency preparedness and hurricane response efforts, including our extensive network of emergency shelters. This helped lead the county's emergency preparedness and hurricane recovery efforts. That experience gives her a rare, firsthand understanding of what it takes to keep our community safe and resilient when storms threaten.
Nancy pairs real-world experience with academic depth. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in History from the University of Florida and a Master of Arts in Education from the University of South Florida. She spent more than a decade in business, meeting payroll, managing budgets, and solving problems. She will bring a unique blend of education, executive experience, and public service that will benefit our School Board and our students.
Above all, Nancy believes our schools work best when we all work together. Nancy will focus on our students and their success. She will stand with parents, support our teachers, and listen to our community. She will protect our tax dollars by ensuring that each expenditure benefits our students. She will always put students first.
Nancy is married to Craig Bostock, an aerospace engineer and program manager in the defense industry. Craig served 28 years in the U.S. Navy. He actively volunteers in the community. They live in Treasure Island and have three children who attended Pinellas schools.
Sarah and her fiancé, Matt, travel extensively competing in, judging, and hosting a multitude of dog sports competitions. Together they have eight dogs but often travel with more. Sarah owns a dog training business, Canine Evolution. She was recently appointed to serve on her local planning and zoning board.
Mark works with troubled youth with the Department of Juvenile Justice. He is becoming proficient in the Japanese language and is fascinated with the culture. He recently returned to college and is considering a career in education or youth development.
Rachel and her husband, Justin, have two little boys, ages 2 and 3. Justin serves in the U.S. Coast Guard, and Rachel is a full-time mom to their boys. Rachel is a former Guardian ad Litem case manager and is now pursuing her private pilot license.
Craig Bostock is retired from the U.S. Navy and Justin Warling is a member of the U.S. Coast Guard. Use of their military rank, job titles, and photographs in uniform does not imply endorsement by the Department of the Navy, Department of War, or the Department of Homeland Security.
